Kids are learning real life skills while working with wood. How to hold a nail. How to swing a hammer. How to saw a piece of wood. And how to smooth it afterwards with sandpaper. While their skills are growing with each project, so does their confidence. At first, they might ‘only’ create wood-and-nail-hedgehogs before moving on to bigger projects. Nevertheless, most kids greatly enjoy working on hedgehogs and are eager to make them as prickly as they can.
