Having a friend is important. Good relationships with mom, dad, grandparents, a sibling, or a teacher cannot fill this void. If your child hasn’t found a best friend yet, encourage him/her to invite someone over. Suggest a few activities if they don’t know what to play. Kids enjoy washing toys in the tub, building caves, planting pumpkins, or baking cakes. Just hand each child a piece of dough and afterwards bake their creation. While they work together, they’ll laugh and make memories. Repeat often and friendships will develop.
